LifeAire Filtration System
Denver Fertility was just recently recognized by LifeAire as a center of excellence. Air quality is often an underemphasized aspect of the embryo culture system. It has been demonstrated time and time again that embryos can be negatively impacted from pollutants in the laboratory air. They simply grow better when they are in a protected environment. LifeAire was designed with IVF in mind. The ability to remove pollutants such as airborne microbes and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the lab is of critical importance.

Embryology Laboratory Director
Dr. Michael Baker, Embryology Laboratory Director -Michael has been intently focused on improving the field of Embryology since the day he saw a sperm injected into an egg nearly ten years ago. A Texan born and raised, Michael majored in Genetics at Texas A&M University and then obtained his Ph.D. in Reproductive Biology from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. His dissertation research focused on the identification of genes which contribute to proper sperm and egg formation. Michael worked closely with the nationally renown REI fellowship program at UT Southwestern to gain a unique experience lacking in most embryology training programs. This early clinical laboratory exposure opened his eyes to the fertility challenges faced by so many men and women. Keeping this in mind, he strives to perform every laboratory task at the highest levels without compromise. Nothing makes his day like a visit from a baby he once cared for in the lab.
Michael completed his Embryology training under the direction of Dr. Kathleen Miller at IVF Florida. He optimized his technical skill set (including ICSI and embryo biopsy) in a high-volume clinic while supervising a team of ten exceptional embryologists. Dr. Baker has been certified by the American Board of Bioanalysts as both a Technical Supervisor in Embryology and a High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director.
